TOURNAMENT RULES

The following rules will be applicable to all Bass Stalker Team Tournaments and will be interpreted solely by the tournament officials with all decisions final.  In addition to the following rules, all Federal, State, County, and Local laws will be strictly adhered to pertaining to boating regulations and legal length limits.  This includes outboard motor and boat wake restrictions.  Violators will be immediately disqualified from the tournament.  A second occurrence of any violation will result in a disqualification from all future Bass Stalker events.

Membership Fee(s):  An annual fee of $10.00 will be charged to all participants of Bass Stalker tournaments. 

Tournament Fee(s):  Tournament entry fee will be $70.00 per boat.  Exact cash is required the day of the tournament.  Entry fees may be paid in advance to the Tournament Director.  Cash only, no checks will be accepted.  Tournament entry fee will be $70.00 per boat PLUS your once yearly annual membership fee of $10.00.

Launch Position:  A drawing for launch position will be held the night prior to each tournament for all pre-paid members.  Launch positions will be drawn in the order of receipt of entry fees.  Late entries in order received will numerically follow pre-paid members.  All boats must be checked and in the water thirty minutes prior to tournament start time. 

Live Wells:  All boats are required to have a functional aerated live well.

Permitted Fishing Locations:  Anywhere on tournament lake except within 25 yards of (a) another contestant –or- (b) the weigh in area.  Contestants must fish from boat at all times and will not trailer their boat or leave tournament lake area during the tournament hours without notifying the Tournament Director.  No trolling is allowed.

Tackle & Equipment:  Only artificial lures will be used.  Pork baits are allowed. 

Scoring:  Largemouth and smallmouth bass will be accepted.  Total stringer weight per team will determine placement.  Any bass under the legal length limit as defined by State or Local laws will result in a two pound penalty and loss of the short fish.  A second occurrence will result in disqualification from all future Bass Stalker events.  Tie-Breaker 1) Number of fish. 2) Largest Bass. 3) Split winnings.  Note: if winnings are split, the position of the tie and the next lower position will be combined and split unless there is a tie for fourth place.  A penalty of one pound per minute will be assessed to entrants arriving late at the weigh in area.  Disqualification will occur after ten minutes.  A penalty of one pound will be deducted from the weight of each dead fish brought in to the weigh in.

Big Bass Pool:  This pool will be paid to the entrant with the heaviest fish.  Big bass must be alive.  Tie-Breaker:  1) Total team weight.  2) Number of fish.  3) Split pool money.

No Wake:  Violators of the no-wake rule will be IMMEDIATELY DISQUALIFIED!  A second occurrence will result in disqualification from all future Bass Stalker events.

Sportsmanship:  High standards of sportsmanship and courtesy in conservation are expected from all participants.  Any contestant that displays poor sportsmanship or violates these rules or any Federal, State, or Local laws will be disqualified.

Landing Nets:  The use of landing nets is acceptable. 

Alcoholic Beverages:  Alcoholic beverages are strictly forbidden during tournament fishing hours.

Operating Outboard:  Life jackets must be worn and individuals must be seated in the cockpit. 

Refund of Entry Fees:  Refunds will be made within 24 hours of tournament date or if tournament is cancelled.
